A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Senior Business Development Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for hunting net new opportunities and strategically selling our revolutionary platform across North America.

We are looking for an ambitious and success-driven leader to both coach the outbound sales development team and deliver personally upon prospecting goals and exceed targets for meeting and opportunity creation.

You will be working on the front line of the commercial organisation, reporting to the Revenue Director and collaborating closely with the marketing team to execute upon the go to market strategy and create the valuable pipeline required to enable the company to exceed demanding new business targets. You will be working in an extremely fast paced environment with the expectation to create your own work, and as such will require a hungry and motivated attitude with experience in consistently meeting and exceeding sales targets.

Within the BDR team, you’ll find a team of dynamic and adaptable individuals who are passionate in hunting new business and introducing our platform with the intention of helping companies to grow and drive revenue. They are adaptable sales-driven professionals who have high standards of performance, who want to win and be part of a winning team. We’re now looking for someone who can overachieve in this senior role, with a quarterly target responsibility.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Outbound B2B prospecting to US HQ’d organisations
  • Coach and mentor BDEs on existing outreach sales tactics, objection handling, prospecting and discovery
  • Executing multiple campaigns across many sectors and roles
  • Generate and manage sales pipeline; maintain impeccable admin and update all activity in Salesforce
  • Prepare for, attend and present at the quarterly business review meeting
  • Involve yourself in social selling, as well as the more traditional methods over the phone and via email
  • Build strong professional relationships with prospects, clients and key accounts
  • Ensure a proactive approach to learning

The Ideal Candidate

An experienced and successful new business hunter: Have you smashed it out of the park generating opportunities in a B2B environment for 18-36 months and are now looking for the next challenge? We are looking for someone with proven success.

A next generation leader: Keen to pursue a career in sales leadership, want to build up your skillset or really enjoy coaching and developing others?

You will need to demonstrate you have the capability to take on leading hungry business development executives. This will include:

  • Working with the Revenue Operations Director to define the business development strategy by market and segment. Executing upon this plan.
  • Coaching the team through their work. Namely providing guidance on time management, call skills, discovery, product knowledge, industry knowledge etc.
  • Facilitating knowledge sharing and best practice across the team by running team meetings, role play and call listening sessions
  • Providing ongoing training e.g. running sessions on cold calling or email sequences
  • Helping the BDs get the most of their relationships with their paired Account Executives
  • Sharing knowledge from the front line



Who You Are

  • 1-3 years of proven excellence in business development, preferably in SaaS or technology-based company
  • You have experience selling to and/or influencing C-level executives
  • You are an SDR Team leader or currently an BDR looking for a step up
  • You understand the role SDRs play in the lead generation context
  • You have a desire to be an effective coach & people manager, who enables talent to grow and be their best selves at work
  • You are highly data driven, analytical and structured
  • You have a continuous improvement mindset, particularly when it comes to rapidly evolving processes and structures
  • You have evidence of over achievement, with strong drive and enthusiasm
